Men turning 50
For men navigating change, shifting priorities and the possibilities of a new phase in life.
The story you started with isn't the whole story.

Somewhere around fifty, a lot of men notice a particular kind of quiet. The role that used to define you doesn’t fit the same way. Relationships have changed shape. What once worked as a way of coping has started to cost more than it gives back. Much of what you’ve built may still fit, while other parts of life are changing or asking for attention. Sometimes what helps is simply an honest conversation — someone to think alongside you, stay with the difficult stuff and give things the time they need. You are the expert in your own life.
- Identity beyond a job title or a role you've played
- Direction — what actually matters now
- Work transitions, wind-downs or pivots
- Long relationships, changing needs and connection
- Fatherhood, adult children, ageing parents
- Energy, rest, movement and habits
- The quiet grief of what didn't happen
- Reconnecting with meaning and creativity
Questions men often ask first.
Is this counselling or coaching?+
It can be either, and sometimes it moves between the two. What we focus on and how we work can change depending on what you bring to the conversation. You lead.
I've never done anything like this. Will it feel strange?+
For many men, this is their first experience of counselling or coaching. The first session is simply a conversation — a chance to talk, see how it feels and take things from there.
Do I have to be in crisis?+
Not at all. It might be for a particular issue, a period of change, or simply a feeling that something deserves more attention.
Is this only for men who are literally 50?+
The age matters less than the moment. If you're somewhere around this stage of life and it feels like a point of change, this may be a useful place to start.
